Residential mailboxes are not regulated in Winnipeg, but that does not mean that they do not exist.
Residential mail boxes are located in residential buildings, such as commercial or industrial buildings, and the city’s rules are largely based on how long a property has been in operation.
However, some residential property owners are not allowed to place their mailboxes on the ground because the city does not consider them a building.
Some of those rules do not apply to businesses, such a bar or restaurant.
