The residential light poles in residential areas around New Leaf have been closed as a precautionary measure.
The utility said the lights are being replaced.
The outage will affect about 2,000 residents.
The utility said in a statement that the lights will be replaced and the outage will be repaired by late April.
The blackout began in mid-March.
